How to Report Google About Search Console Issues

In Search Console, you can now report problems with domain verification and user management to Google.

With the click of a button, problems with user management and domain verification in Search Console can now be reported directly to Google.

This feature is an expansion of a program launched by Google earlier this year that allows users to report critical bugs.

First, Google added the ability to report security issues discovered while searching. The program was then expanded to include reporting on indexing bugs.

In Search Console, you can now notify Google about urgent bugs, such as the inability to verify a domain.

Reporting Search Console Issues To Google

Signed-in Search Console users in the United States will soon see a “Report user management issues” or “Report Domain Verification Issues” button when consulting certain help documents.

By clicking the button, you will be able to fill out a more detailed error report, which will be sent directly to Google.

However, Google will first walk you through a series of troubleshooting steps related to the problem you’re having.

If those fail, you are free to submit the report.

These buttons should not be your first port of call when looking for help with Search Console issues.

Reading Google’s help guides or starting a thread in the community forums is the best way to resolve domain verification and user management issues in Search Console.

If you are unable to find the assistance you require through those resources, you can use the “Report User Management Issues” or “Report Domain Verification Issues” buttons to notify Google of your issue.

This feature is currently being tested only in the United States, and support is only available in English for the time being.

Google will reassess the utility of this feature and may expand it further in the coming month.

If you don’t see the new buttons right now, they should appear within the next week or so.
