Facebook Has Introduced New Business Communication Tools

Facebook Messenger now allows small businesses to make audio and video calls.

Facebook is releasing a slew of updates aimed at small businesses, including audio and video calls in Messenger, live audio rooms, and other features.

These updates arrive just in time for the holiday shopping season, which is said to account for 20% of small businesses’ annual revenue.

This holiday season, businesses will have more ways to communicate with customers, as well as the ability to book more appointments directly on Facebook and create ads more easily.

Here’s a rundown of everything Facebook said this week.

New Facebook Features For Businesses

Audio and video calling

Facebook is testing audio and video calling with select small and medium-sized businesses via Messenger’s Business Inbox.

This will combine phone, video, and text communication into a single app.

Businesses can communicate with customers and conduct transactions without leaving Messenger.

These enhanced capabilities can assist businesses in closing more deals by allowing customers to secure difficult-to-find items right away.

Live Audio Rooms

Select small businesses will soon be able to create Live Audio Rooms on Facebook.

Live Audio Rooms, which debuted earlier this year, is widely regarded as Facebook’s answer to Clubhouse.

Small businesses can host live conversations about topics that are important to their customers, and people can find them on Facebook.

Hosts can invite their friends, followers, creators, or any listeners in the room to speak. Speakers can be invited ahead of time or during the discussion.

Appointment Bookings

Appointment bookings on Facebook are now available worldwide. Facebook is gradually rolling out this feature to all small businesses worldwide.

Small business owners can use their Facebook page to receive and manage appointments from new and existing clients.

The ability to book appointments is provided at no additional cost to businesses.

Modifications to Personalized Ads

When people interact with a personalized ad, Facebook is experimenting with new ways to let them know they’re supporting a small business.

When users click like on ads from small businesses, for example, they may see messages in their feeds.

The message will remind the user that their participation in assisting the small business is growing and being discovered by more customers.

Ad Creation Updates

Creating ads from your Facebook Business Page is about to become a whole lot easier.

The 11 goals from which businesses were previously asked to choose have been reduced to three:

Automated Ads
