Continue reading to find out how to create your own landing page report in GA4 in just a few simple steps.

Step 1: Begin by using a similar template. The GA4 Pages and Screens report was used in this case. Then, in the upper right corner, click Customize Report.

Step 2: To edit the included dimensions, click in and select “Add dimension.” Find Landing Page by scrolling down the list. Choose it.

Step 3: From the list of included dimensions, click the three dots on the right side of the Landing Page dimension name. Set as the default option. Then, in the bottom right corner, hit apply.

Step 4: The default report dimension is now the landing page. You can also change or hide the chart types and add or remove metrics while you’re here. I’ve selected a line chart and hidden the second one by clicking the eye icon.

Step 5: Save the report as a new one. This is critical! Because we started with the Pages and Screens report, don’t save any changes to the current report. Otherwise, the Pages and Screens report will be unavailable. Landing Page is the title.

Step 6: Organize the report into a collection. Go to the library section – this icon can be found at the bottom of the left-side navigation in GA4’s Reports section.

Step 7: Select the collection to which this new report will be added. It’s probably best to put it in the Life cycle collection, under the Engagement topic, alongside the Pages and Screens report. For where you want to put it, click Edit collection.

Step 8: Find your new Landing Page report at the bottom of the right-hand report list, then drag and drop it into the topic section you want on the left column.

Step 9: At the bottom of the screen, click Save. Choose “Save changes to current collection” this time to add the Landing Pages report to your already published/visible nav collections.

Step 10: In the left-side nav, look for your shiny new Landing Page report.

That’s it! You now know how to create your own report. Go wild! Add all the reports you want that aren’t yet available in GA4.
