It didn&#8217;t gain popularity until it merged with musical.ly in 2018. To make the video more interesting or marketable, people add filters and other embellishments. It covers a wide range of topics, including home improvement, comedy, conspiracy theories, and other topics.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Users can follow creators, leave comments on videos, like videos, and change videos by swiping up or down. Brands can create TikToks for sponsored ads or have their own TikTok account for organic reach.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Reels have a similar interface, but it includes several adoptions, with more on the way. Overlay ads, banner ads, and sticker ads are some of the ad types available. Meta is experimenting with a revenue model for creators in which fans can buy stars for their favorite creators.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Enhanced Editing Capabilities<\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p>Meta is also introducing new editing tools, such as:<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\"><li>People can remix an existing and publicly shared reel by creating a new reel next to it.<\/li><li>Reels with a 60-second duration<\/li><li>Draft reels are made.<\/li><li>Video clipping allows creators to experiment with different formats for live and long-form content more easily.<\/li><\/ul>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Is it possible for Reels to compete with Tik Tok?<\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p>Because of Facebook and Instagram&#8217;s massive reach, Meta will be able to reach far more people with Reels than TikTok.
